Event Management and Production for the National Economic and Social Council [NESC] marking its 50th year of conducting research, engaging in dialogue and providing advice to the Irish Government on the most pressing issues affecting the country.

NESC@50 was a conference to celebrate 50 years’ of NESC in Ireland and to create a space to have a thought provoking discussion on the most pressing and challenging policy issues relating to the economy, society and the environment.

WHAT WE DID

 

Grooveyard were briefed to include elements in the Conference that bridge the gap between Ireland in the 1970’s when NESC was established and Ireland in the 21st Century. Under the theme ‘A Thriving Ireland: Foundations & Actions’’ it was important to bring their journey and work to the forefront.

Grooveyard worked closely with NESC to develop and produce this conference. We looked after all elements from design concepts to  registration and event delivery on the day. Creative was produced by our in-house design team which included an 8 metre freestanding history wall, stacked triangles and several other branded elements that could be re-used by NESC following the conference. Grooveyard facilitated pre-recorded videos and  managed all logistics, including securing the recording location for a series of videos taken and edited prior to the conference with stakeholders that NESC have worked with.

The agenda was comprised of 40 participants including An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar and European Commissioner, Mairead McGuinness. Grooveyard worked closely with their security teams for smooth arrival on the day.

RESULTS

 

Grooveyard succeeded in delivering a conference that met NESC’s objective.

There was a large online presence established for this event, through the hashtag #NESC50. This has been used across a variety of events that Grooveyard have worked with NESC on this year, with NESC@50 Conference being the pinnacle project to mark 50 years of NESC.

 

Reach and reactions on X – 188 likes across the day, 49 reposts as well as being tweeted by Leo Varadkar’s official account.

 

At one point #NESC50 was in the top 5 trending in Ireland. NESC’s online analyst recorded that they reached number 4
