GALWAY PORT LAUNCH
BRIEF
To host a conference entitled “The Renewable Energy Opportunity for the West of Ireland”
on behalf The Port of Galway with a keynote speech from Taoiseach Micheál Martin T.D.
Requirement to host a hybrid conference for up to 200 in person attendees including a sit down lunch, event app development and live streaming of the event.
Given the concept of the event sustainability and use of local suppliers was a key requirement.

To position Galway Port as a thought leader in the renewable energy debate
Promote the ambition of the Port as an example of the future of cities
Promote the Port as a destination for FDI to drive job creation in Galway and the western seaboard
Build networking relationships with key figures in the relevant sectors
Create a news value for the Port with the keynote speakers/guests
Continue to create public affairs awareness of the Port ambition by engaging with national and local media

what we did
Grooveyard delivered full end-to-end event solutions to meet all of Galway Ports requirements including hosting a hybrid conference and event app development.
The conference was a day time event with an offering of lunch and was live streamed to an online audience and also dialled in various speakers to engage in panel discussions.
Grooveyard developed an event app which was accessible by event attendees only. This app hosted all event information from the agenda, to speaker bio, attendee list and links to each segment for online attendees. The app was not only convenient but also sustainable as it allowed us to take the paperless route. Grooveyard ensured sustainability at this event by using local suppliers and ensured that all materials were recyclable.
